Located at the main camp of the Midwest Oil Company in the Salt Creek Oil Field. (Annals of Wyoming 14:3) Salt Creek was the name given to the post office established at the Midwest Camp, which was the headquarters in the field for the Midwest Oil Company, one of the companies working the Salt Creek Oil Field.
