Menors Ferry, about eighteen mile north of Jackson, is an historic landmark. It is so called after the owner of the first ferry boat in operation at that point across the Snake River. In recent years the ferry has been replaced by a modern steel and concrete bridge where the main highway from Jackson and Yellowstone National Park crosses the Snake River. (WPA) William D. Menor received a patent on land at this location on August 13, 1908. (General Land Office Records) |
