Origin Of Name:Named for John Albin Anderson, first postmaster, (appointed in 1905 by Teddy Roosevelt and to 1936 was only postmaster to hold the post.) The town site was laid out in 1928 by the Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Anderson moved the store and post office from his farm to town at that time. (WPA)
