Origin Of Name:The local name for the site was Jackson's Hole in June, 1892. (Wyoming Post Offices) Marysvale after the first postmistress, Mrs. Fred White, whose given name was Mary. The post office was located about six miles up Flat Creek from the present town of Jackson and remained there from 1891 to 1893. (Allan)
