| AN ACT to amend and renumber W.S. 35-9-101 through 35-9-140 as 35-9-101 through 35-9-130 relating to department of fire prevention and electrical safety; providing for a complete revision of Title 35, Chapter 9, Article 1; department of fire prevention and electrical safety; to eliminate obsolete statutes; to conform conflicting statutes; to eliminate duplicative and archaic language; increasing the experience requirements for master electricians; increasing the membership of the electrical board; providing for the requirement of continuing education upon renewal of an electrician license; providing new procedures for fire and electrical safety inspections; requiring electrical wiring permits under certain conditions; and providing for an effective date. |
